Rhonda October 25, 2015 We have a Whirlpool Cabrio Top loading washer with a cracked lid. I have ordered the correct replacement part and have received it. Is there a video or instruction manual for my husband to replace the lid? The model # of the washer is WTW7800XW2. Thank you. Rhonda
1 Answer Rhonda, We don't have a video, and you forgot to include an e mail address so we could send you the information you requested, But's not too difficult to remove and replace the WPW10349235 lid on your washer. " 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. To remove the lid: a) Raise the lid and remove the two hinge pin screws from both sides. b) Lift the lid, slide it off the hinge pins, and remove the lid from the washer. " Reverse the procedure and check the lid and washer for operation. Read More...
Vince B October 15, 2015 for Model Number Whirlpool Cabrio I have the same issue with the top being broken, but mine has separated from the hinges. My plastic locking button, located in the front part of the lid is also broke into. I must reinsert it each time before a new wash, and shift the lid to the side to unlock, due to the button not retracting. I understand I need a new lid. I am worried my hinges are bent, Also, how do I repair the plastic locking button issue. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Vince. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. Here is a link to help you locate it. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Jp August 14, 2015 for Model Number WTW7800XW4 I have a top loading machine & not long after I bought it (6-8 months), the plastic frame around the glass began cracking & ultimately broke in more than one place. It seems that is a very common problem... Does the replacement lid include the glass (my glass is not broken) & does it include all of the pieces to the frame & parts that attach it to the washer? $200 just seems pricey for a few pieces of plastic...
1 Answer Hello JP. The lid does come with the glass and plastic frame. It does not come with hinges or any hardware. Read More...
Just Saying July 15, 2015 for Model Number WTW7800XWO If the cracked lid at the hinge pins is such a common issue, Why has Whirlpool not recognized this as a manufacturing issue and accepted the responsibility of making it right for their customers? Why hasn't a recall on these lids been issued?
1 Answer Just saying, Unfortunately this is an issue that would have to be asked of the manufacturer as they are the ones who would have to answer the question about the lids of these units. Read More...

Julie May 28, 2015 My washer has the electronic buttons and the start button is not working. When I press the button there is no resistance, no "snap" in the button. Could the button just be stuck or is it broken ?
1 Answer Julie, The most likely cause for the issue would be that the button is broken. You would want to replace the console on the unit. Read More...

Ct April 22, 2015 for Model Number WTW7800XW0 My Cabrio washing machine lid separated from the hinge, which appears to be a common problem. I want to ensure I order the proper replacement lid and any required hinges (if applicable), but am not sure what the product number is. The icon photo which appears next to what I think is the right product number on your appliance parts web page does not match what we currently have, and that leaves me confused. Can you please provide clarification on what I need to order? Our washer is a white Cabrio (HE), MOD WTW7800XW0, Ser C04070050; on the inside of the lid is "W10120689a". It is an all glass lid. Thank you in advance.
1 Answer CT, The part number for the lid, which should be all that is needed, is part number WPW10349235. Read More...
