Maureen October 20, 2014 for Model Number WTW86004W0 While I was washing a load of clothes I heard a noice that sounded like something dropped in my utility room. When I looked I couldnt find anything. When my clothes were finished washing as I opened the lid the lid would not stay up any longer it would immediately fall. Any ideas? It;s only 2 1/2 years old.
1 Answer Maureen, Your washer has spring loaded hinges WPW10358931 left side and WPW10358932 right side. The noise you heard was most likely one or both of the springs separating, and now the tension and "counter balance on the lid is gone. You'll need to use a putty knife and press in on the spring clamps in the seam between the front panel and top and raise the top to inspect or replace both hinges. Read More...
Joe S October 09, 2014 for Model Number wtw8900bc Seems like this is a common issue, so I am hoping that solution is the same for mine. One question I have is whether it is just the lid that needs to be replaced or do the hinge arms need to be replaced as well.
1 Answer Joe, If the lid is cracked toward the back where the hinge arm is then just the lid would need to be replaced. Read More...

Glenn L. July 08, 2014 for Model Number WTW7800XW3 Is a solid top, NO Glass, available? If I have to order one with the glass and all, how do I choose White? As I know, they come in white, black, and silver. This is a poor design. Frame is too thin to handle the stress of breaking free of whatever it is that holds it open in the upright position!
1 Answer Hello Glenn, I'm sorry but the manufacturer has made this lid WPW10349235 the only one available for this model. Since the manufacturer designed and built the unit, they are solely responsible for their design and complaints on the design of the unit should be directed to them. We are only a parts distributor and can do nothing to change the design. Read More...
