Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Long Cam Agitator Repair Kit (Part Number: OEM9283569)

1 Answer

Jon, Replacing the cam WP3363661 and "dogs" 80040 should not present or cause a problem, if that's all you need. Just remember, a small dab of water proof grease on the dogs and both cams will help your agitator operate properly and longer.

Hello Anne. If there is no grease in your agitator, you will need to order it. If yours already has grease, you will not need more.

Roger L for Model Number Kenmore 11082673810

The video accompanying the Long Cam Agitator Repair Kit shows, at 3:30, what the presenter called the lower agitator, with teeth that lock into the upper agitator cam. But there is a thin collar sitting on top of the lower agitator that is not described. It has eight little tabs running around the perimeter. Several of these tabs are broken on my machine and I would like to replace this part. It does not appear to be included in the Long Cam Agitator Repair Kit. Can you please identify its part number ? Thank you.

Roger, The part that you are looking for that is on top of the lower agitator would be the thrust washer part number 285587.

I bought replacement agitator dogs for this machine as the clothes mover/upper agitator has been spinning loose for a while now. Now that I have the agitator dissassembled, I've noticed that the cam has white plastic tabs broken off in the slots on the bottom side. These broken off tabs appear to mate with the tabs on the lower agitator. I've uploaded pictures to the following link. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hz87jbyz6bl2z82/AAAvHnG9WBxiGhHKR0lOlMm_a?dl=0 Is this going to cause major problems? I'm a little short this month and don't want to have to buy $100+ in parts for a washer I bought 8 years ago for $50 on craigslist.

Kerri, With the cam having white plastic tabs broken off then you would want to replace the agitator cam kit part number 285809.

Hello Jessica. The belt looking part is actually the sound damping ring WP63134. As for the agitator issue, it sounds like the cam kit 285748 will need to be replaced on the unit.

Elizabeth for Model Number 110.92272100 kenmore heavy duty 70 series

When I wash clothes my top agitator will loosely spin in the wash. When it is empty you can lift the agitator up and down by hand and spin it freely by hand. I was wanting to know if I need the long agitator cam kit or what I need to fix the problem. I took off the cap and where the agitator goes I can see that my washer has the long agitator cam. Don't want to buy something that I don't need I want to get it right the first time. Thank You for your time. My washer says Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series on the front the model # says 110. 92272100 the 110. is located under model number off to the right of 110. a lil ways is 92272100 Dont know if that will help but maybe
