Mike March 12, 2011 for Model Number DUL240 My dish's seem to wash fine but the machine makes a high pitch noise when running. I checked the chopper assembly and it was clean. No standing water after running it either. Do I need a new motor-pump or do I need replace the whole assembly?
1 Answer Hello Mike. If the chopper is clear, you should be ok with the motor-pump assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
John March 10, 2011 for Model Number DU640 I replaced the chopper unit and it still makes a whining noise. When apart it looks like the part on the impeller may be worn. Do you really need to replace the motor because of this little plastic part?? (Front of part 22)
1 Answer Hello John. It shows it separately, but the manufacture has changed it to the motor-pump assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
Jenni March 10, 2011 for Model Number KitchenAid KUDI02IRWH4 The KitchenAid dishwasher makes a loud whine when it is draining. I did remove a few Legos, plastic fork tynes, and orange seeds from near the grinder blade, however it continues to make the same sound. I am not sure exactly which part to replace.
1 Answer Hello Jenni. It sounds like the chopper assembly needs replacing. W10083957V You can try to run it without the chopper in it to see if the noise goes away, but just do this to test only. Hope this helps. Read More...
John March 09, 2011 I've checked the level and it seems to fill out the bottom of the machine properly (an inch or two maybe?). When I hit cancel on the wash cycle I hear the water getting drained (very quietly). It's as soon as the wash cycle starts that the noise is pretty loud and continues until it's done washing.
1 Answer Hello John. Chek the impeller and see if it is damaged or broke. Also look for debris inside the sump assembly where the impeller runs. Hope this helps. Read More...
John March 07, 2011 Hi, Here are the specs of my 5-7 year old dishwasher: Whirlpool Gold - Quite Partner III Mod: GU2300XTLQ3 - type: 577-0 I now have a pretty loud sound coming from the machine once the wash cycle starts. It's been progressively getting louder as days goes by. The water does seem to drain properly. The dishes however don't seem to get washed that well. There's normally still some debris left on the dishes. This still happens even if we set the cycle to Pots&Pans. Would this part solve all my problems? Do I need any additional parts to replace it? Clamps? Hose? etc? Thanks
1 Answer John, is the dishwasher filling with enough of water? This could be causing the loud noise and the dishes being poorly cleaned. Read More...

Cary March 02, 2011 My dishwasher is a Kenmore model 665.17609301. Everything seems to work fine, including the water pump and cycling. But it makes a horrendous growling sound when washing. If I need a motor, it seems there are several options? "motor pump", "Pump and Motor Assembly" and just "Motor". Which do I need? Since pump appears to work fine.
1 Answer Hello Cary, It is better to do this reapir as a motor-pump assembly. The motor and pump are the same thing, but the assembly has all the other parts that work on the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
