  • What's included: One latch sister board.

Install notes:

  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
  • Use ESD protection and handle the board by the edges

Robert, Based on the description of your issue I would check for power from the control to the element when the unit is turned off. If there is power to the element when off then you are likely to have a shorted control assembly.

Irving, The AP6012630 sister board supplies power to the door latch motor when the self-clean cycle is selected but has no effect on the oven or microwave interior lights. The light switch on the latch assembly signals the control when the door is opened, the control board completes the circuit and sends the 120 VAC to the light socket(s) and the bulb illuminates. The microwave interior light is controlled through the primary interlock door switch, when the door is opened, power is supplied to the control board, and the light supply transformer the voltage is converted to a DCV circuit and supplies power to the halogen light bulb and it illuminates. If you're sure the bulbs aren't defective or burnt out, you'll need to check the switches and wiring and replace the control board if all's OK.

Frank for Model Number RBD306PDB14

This past year the oven has intermittently turned on the self cleaning mode. A couple weeks ago it was doing it every few hours. Turned the power off and bought the control board AP6012630 (WP8301848) from Appliancepartspros. Replaced the board easily last Tuesday and the oven worked fine for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving evening the oven went into self clean mode by itself. I powered down and and seeking answers? Was the new board bad or is something else going on? This is the one and only issue we have had with the oven. Thanks. Frank

Frank, It sounds like more of a user interface issue with possibly the membrane having a short and acting like the clean button is being depressed.WP8300437

Scott, If the control panel beeps but just no display then you will want to check the transformer WP9760587. You will want to test for 120 vac at the p16 connector between pins 5 and 7 for 120 vac and if there is power there then test from the p16 pins 2 to 3 for 12 to 24 vac. If there is no power at this point then transformer is bad. If there is power at this point then the control board is faulty. If there is no power at pins 5 to 7 then the control board is faulty. The control board for this unit would be part number [AP5021414] which unfortunately has been disconitnued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available.

Deborah for Model Number GBD277PDS09

I have a Whirlpool model #GBD277PDS09. Sears has told me that the "motherboard" needs replaced and the part is no longer sold/serviced by them. I typed in my model number and checked out the control panel and options that go w/this oven. Can you tell me if the electronic control board y'all sell works w/this oven? You offer one; part AP6012630. The other one that pops up isn't offered. I just don't want to order the incorrect part. Thanks so much! Debby

Deborah, The part number for the control board that would be needed is WPW10438751 but has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. You could try to use a company called Corecentricsolutions.com and see if they are able to rebuild the board.

James H for Model Number RBD275PRS00

My double oven has been working intermittently and powering off in the middle of cooking with a series of beeps and the lights on the front panel slowly fading then going black. After turning off the breaker for a few minutes and turning power back on, an error code of “E6 F2” is displayed. I read a few message boards and believe that I need to replace the control board but wanted to see if you would recommend checking other parts first or if you would have the exact part number I need to order for replacement. Thanks, Jim

1 Answer

James, This error code will represent a cancel key drive line open. You will want to check the keypad connector for a firm connection and make sure that there is no corrosion on it. If this checks ok then press cancel and if the error returns after 60 seconds replace the keypad and if the error does not return replace the control board.
