Jim September 21, 2019 Replacement pads, part no AP4264800 says "Used on the black and aluminum models". Are they the gray colored pads also used on my stainless model KSSC42QTS02?

Dave April 18, 2019 Hi- what should the resistance (in ohms) be for these when depressed? I believe my intermittent problem could be due to this part but need to validate the actual part resistance. Also are these truly black or more of a grey color?
1 Answer Dave, For this pad you would just need to check it for continuity as it is just a switch and would not require a resistance reading. Read More...
Jeff April 15, 2016 for Model Number KSSC42QTS00 I just purchased Part Number AP4264800 but I can't seem to figure out how to replace them because I cannot get the old ones out. Do you have an idea of how I can remove the old ones and put in the new ones? I see four screws holding in the dispensing area but can't seem to get it out. Any thoughts would be great. Jeff 949-378-6826
1 Answer Hello Jeff, Using a flashlight you should be able to look up in the dispenser area and see the three screws that must be removed before the dispenser assembly can be removed. Once removed you should be able to pop out the pad for replacement. Read More...
Jin K. October 19, 2015 for Model Number KSCS25FVSS02 It is almost impossible to get ice by pressing the black ice dispensing pad. So hard to press the pad. What could be the problem? Bad pad? If it is, how can I fix or replace it? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Jin, The part you need is W10133603. I'm sorry but I could not locate any literature to illustrate or instruct on the replacement of this part. If I remember correctly you will need to unplug the unit or turn off the breaker and pull out the front cover. This will allow access to the wiring connections. I believe the pad just snaps into the front cover housing. Read More...
Sheila January 08, 2014 for Model Number kssc42qvs00 I have a built in Kitchenaid refrigerator. I have to press really hard on the dispenser pad to get water. But first I wanna make sure that I will be able to do it myself. Can you please answer my first question and also send me instructions?
