Steve September 22, 2016 for Model Number 665.13269K114 The dishwasher fills and does nothing. After a while, it drains and fills again. Goes through the rest of the "cycle" with no cleaning. Ends up draining at the end? What would you suggest? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Steve, You will need to verify voltage to the pump motor during the wash cycle. If voltage it present, the wash motor W11032770 is in question. If no voltage is present during wash, the control W10595569 is in question. Read More...
Allan December 27, 2015 for Model Number WDT910SSYM0 My dishwasher cycle is chosen , the water fills in the tub , then stops filling when full . then motor is supposed to start to wash , and does not , I am hearing a faint humming noise in cycles of 4 times and then it stops ,which will repeat for 3 or 4 times, the noise coming from the bottom underside of the dishwasher . The dishwasher will drain as well but not wash. Thanks in advance
1 Answer Allan, You will want to check the circulation pump to make sure that the impeller is not getting jammed by some type of debris. If this checks ok then the motor would need to be replaced. Read More...
Laura H. October 03, 2015 for Model Number WDF780SLYB0 Our initial problem started with our dishes not coming clean. After some investigation, we found that the spray arms were not rotating. We checked and found no cracks, breaks or clogs anywhere internally in the machine. Looking underneath, we found there was a leak around the motor/sump so we replaced both the motor and sump. After replacing, the machine would not drain. That was not a problem at all before replacing those. We thought that maybe the old drain pump went out after installing the new motor/sump, so we replaced it, as well. It is still not draining. We are at a loss at this point. We can't seem to find a check valve on this machine to see if there is a rubber flap or something that has come off or gotten stuck since we do know that that can be an issue oftentimes with draining. We also do not know if it is needed to reset the control panel after installing the new parts as we've heard happens sometimes and don't know how to do that on this machine. We would appreciate any help you are able to offer for something else we might check. Thank you!
1 Answer Laura, If there is a check valve on the unit it will be in the drain hose. If the drain hose check valve is in place then that would not be the issue. You will want to get the unit to the drain cycle and check to see if the pump is getting power when it is in the drain cycle. If there is power then the issue will be with a clog or a drain pump received that may be bad. If there is no power then the issue will be a faulty wiring between the pump and control or a bad control board. Read More...
