Hdarla24 September 13, 2022 for Model Number MFI2569VEM4 I have a water reservoir that is cracked, it looks like the fat tubes folded up and down into 6 connected pieces like it shows in the parts diagram, not the one long thin tube coiled around and around like in this picture. If I buy this part to replace it, how does this fit into the space where the tubes were, which seems to be about an inch or so deep and has hooks or pegs that the tubes hang on?
1 Answer Hdarla24, This is a redesigned part that will have a new hanger with it to hand the tubing off of. Read More...

Will July 24, 2019 for Model Number MFI2670XEM7 I ordered W10502642, it has a threaded end that has to go to the exterior water supply but my model refrigerator has an additional inlet valve in the bottom which the tube from the reservoir that I am replacing originally went to, and then the water line connected to that inlet valve. Am I supposed to cut off the threaded connector to fit the reservoir end into the smart valve? or do I just completely bypass the inlet valve now?
1 Answer Will, based on the instructions for this part, the threaded connector will connect to the house supply line. Read More...
Tracy Brown February 13, 2019 for Model Number MFI2670XEM0 Hi there My question is similar to Stephen's as my original part this is replacing is W10336610. Any help would be great because I tried to call Whirlpool and they were no help. Thanks Tracy

Steve October 23, 2017 for Model Number MFX2571XEM2 I received part number W10502642, but it has a threaded end to go to the exterior water supply. My model refrigerator has an additional inlet valve in the bottom - part number WPW10270395. Am I supposed to cut off the threaded connector to fit the reservoir end into the smart valve?
1 Answer Hello Steve. If your old tank hooked up that way then the new tank will hook up the same way. If the old tank is cut, you will need to cut the new one. Also, make sure you follow the instruction sheet sent with the part on how to install the part into the unit. Thank you. Read More...
Stephen August 16, 2016 for Model Number GI6SARXXF02 I finally received the water reservoir W10502641 that I ordered, after first receiving the wrong part last week. I find that the end of the tube that is to be connected to the water inlet valve has a brass collar and steel screw connector, not the plain tube end that is supposed to insert into the water inlet valve. Is this the correct part? Am I meant to cut off the metal connectors and insert the tube in the valve? The metal connector is not shown in the picture of the reservoir on the website.
1 Answer Hello Stephen. That end does not go to the water valve. It connects to your house supply coming to the refrigerator. Read More...
