Electronic Sahara control board that manages cycle selection, timing and the user interface. Replaces a failed control to help restore responsive controls and correct cycle operation when the dryer exhibits unresponsive buttons, error codes, or won't start. What it does:

  • Regulates cycle selection, timing and control signals for the appliance
  • Manages start/stop inputs, user interface feedback and cycle sequencing
  • Common symptom part: unresponsive touchpad/buttons, blinking lights or error codes

What's included: One electronic control board. Install notes:

  • Always disconnect power before servicing the appliance
  • Access requires removing the control console or panel; keep fasteners organized

Ron, If tests on the control board were done using the tech sheet and it shows the board being faulty then the control board would need to be replaced.

Warren, The L2 would indicate low or no line voltage. L2 flashes if lowline voltage (less than 50V) is detected at installation. ¦ Check to see if a household fuse has blown or L2 Low/No Line a circuit breaker has tripped. Voltage ¦ Confirm the power cord is properly installed and plugged into the power outlet. ¦ Check the relay connections on the machine control electronics. If these check ok then you will want to test the cycling thermostat, and high limit thermostat to make sure that they are good.

Hello Ed, Removing the Machine Control Electronics 1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power. 2. Remove three screws from the rear of the console assembly. Pull console towards front of dryer to hinge open and/or remove console. 3. Remove the wire connections to the machine control assembly. 4. Remove the one screw holding the machine control assembly to the metal bracket. 5. Push in on the tab located on the back of the machine control to slide it off the bracket.

John, If you are getting an F15 error code on the dryer then this is a false code in which you would want to replace the control board.

Hello Dave. You need to check the blower wheel and see if it is clogged, come loose, or bad and needs to be replaced in the unit. The interior venting can cause this issue as well as a bad thermistor WP8577274.
