This silicone lubricant is used during appliance service to condition rubber seals and O-rings, especially in dishwashers. It eases installation and helps new seals seat properly for a reliable, leak-resistant connection on pumps, valves, and hose fittings.

  • Lubricates rubber seals, O-rings, and gaskets to prevent rolling, tearing, or binding during assembly
  • Helps seals seat correctly to support leak-resistant joints
  • Aids insertion of hoses, plastic fittings, and pump components
  • Helpful when reassembling sump, diverter, inlet, and drain connections
  • Common signs it may be needed: difficulty installing seals, seals that dislodge, or seepage after a seal replacement
What's included: One tube of silicone lubricant. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and water before servicing the appliance
  • Clean and inspect mating surfaces; replace any cracked, flattened, or cut seals
  • Apply a light, even film to the rubber part only; avoid over-application
  • Wipe away excess; do not use lubricant to compensate for damaged seals—replace them

Hi Loyd. There are 2- places on an ice mold assy. part # WPW10190929 that the lubricant will be used. It is on each pivoting round ends of the cube ejector arms where they meet the ice mold sides. Used lightly so they help the rotation under freezing temperatures. Then there is a Thermal Mastic compound that is part # 5303307896. It is placed on the face of the thermostat part # WP627985 or-#27- on the diagram to transfer the correct cube tray temperature to activate the mold heater and start motor /cube ejection revolution. Thank You.
