Kim January 17, 2017 for Model Number GEQ9800LW1 When turning the timer, there is an arc with a "pop" noise and a visible spark, which pops the breaker. In reading about the problem, it says that loose wires on the terminal block would cause an arc....and there are loose wires that I cannot make stay tight. But the arc comes directly from turning the timer knob. Thoughts?
1 Answer Kim, You will want to make sure that the wires are tight and this could be caused by a faulty timer. Read More...

Lloyd July 14, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore model 110-98518219 Dryer operates but stopped heating.. It will air dry clothes but dryer heat does not come on.. This is a 110 volt model I believe. You do not list a heating element. Could this be a failure of the element wire? Is there a thermal cut off that might have failed? Is there a replacement heating element?
1 Answer Hello Lloyd. The element 3398169 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Read More...
Jeannie November 06, 2015 for Model Number maytag front loader dryer MED9700sqo When I press the start button the dryer clicks but does not turn on. I have not tried replacing anything yet. Any suggesting on where I should start? It was heating fine when it stopped rotating. It sounds as if one of the modules are not talking to the motor for it to turn. Any help would be great. Thanks Jeannie
1 Answer Hello Jeannie. You will need to check the thermal fuse, door switch, and broke belt on the unit. Any can cause the issue you are having with the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Bruce L. December 11, 2014 for Model Number MEDC200XW3 Dryer will not start. Sometimes when pushing in on start switch. It acts as though it wants to start but doesn't. I have replaced all thermostats. Door switch clicks as though it is working properly. Any suggestions ? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Bruce, If the unit will start when you hold in the door switch, press the start button, and reach inside and manually spin the drum, the motor has a bad start winding. Read More...
M Lucas August 05, 2014 for Model Number LEN1000PQ1 We replaced the heating element and put everything back as shown in video. Turned it on for a few minutes and worked great. Shut it off to move the dryer back, went to move the electric cord and it sparked where it goes into the dryer. Turned breaker off, looked at it, didn't see anything wrong. Turned the breaker back on and it sparked and burnt a hole in the red wire going out from dryer. Any ideas what may of happened?
1 Answer M. Lucas, Normally with this type of issue, it may have been an issue of the power supply having a weak connection and causing the unit to spark initially and the second time pushing back would have created the spark that finally burnt through the wire. Weak wire most likely. Read More...
Jeremy R. July 14, 2014 for Model Number LG Dryers I am trying to find terminal blocks for an LG Electric dryer and was told the Kenmore/Whirlpool terminals would work. 3397659 is the part number I was gonna use. If not, do you know of any universal terminal blocks that will work? Just need terminal block and maybe screws.
1 Answer Jeremy, we can not guarantee that the terminal block kit will work on your unit as the block may not fit your assembly. LG is different from most major brands. We'll need your model number to determine the correct parts for your unit. Thanks. Read More...
