Aimster July 07, 2014 for Model Number GEQ9800LW0 My dryer trips the circuit breaker after running for 3 mins. It runs fine in air puff (no heat) mode. I changed out the heating element and terminal block kit....but no luck. Still trips breaker after 2 to 3 mins. We also checked the breaker itself thinking we may have a weak breaker, but it tested fine. What else should I check or replace to resolve my dryer problem of tripping breaker when running with heat? I'd greatly appreciate any feedback!....Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Aimster. It may be best to replace the breaker to be safe. If the issue continues with new breaker, then the dryer is drawing to much amperage and you will need to replace the motor on the unit. Read More...
Jillian May 18, 2014 for Model Number whirlpool dryer model LE7680XSN2 My dryer stopped heating after it smelled like burning lint during a drying cycle. The lint trap was cleaned prior to drying the clothes. It's still running but not heating.
1 Answer Jillian, make sure you have a full 240v going to the dryer. Check the heater element WP4391960 and thermostats WP694674, WP61894, and WP3390291. They should read closed for continuity. Thanks. Read More...
Clockman November 24, 2013 for Model Number keys850lq2 I have low to no heat in my dryer. I've replaced the heating element and the thermostat. All ready so what do I look for now?
1 Answer Hello Clockman, First, verify there is 240Vac supplied to the unit where the power cord connects. If this is good, check the exhaust duct for crimps or clogs. This will cycle the thermostats off prematurely and it takes a long time for them to turn back on when the duct is the issue. Let us know what you find if further assistance is necessary. Glen September 03, 2013 for Model Number ned7200tw amana Heat not working. What should I check first and second?
1 Answer Hello Glen. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Glen September 03, 2013 for Model Number ned7200tw I have an amana electric dryer everything works but theres no heat model # ned7200tw what should I check first and second thanks
1 Answer Glen, Check to make sure that you are getting 240 vac to the unit from the power supply. Check the thermal fuse to make sure that it has continuity. If there is no continuity then replace the thermal fuse. Check the heater to make sure that it is good by visually checking to make sure that it is not broken. Disconnect the power and remove 1 wire from the heater and plug unit back in and turn the unit on and test each wire to the heater to chassis ground. Whichever side does not have power. That is the side that you want to trace back. Read More...

1 Answer Phyllis, IF the clothes are steaming inside the dryer then the issue is that of poor air flow. You will want to check the venting of your dryer from the blower wheel to the outside of the home to ensure that there is no blockage. Read More...
