Steve August 10, 2017 for Model Number MFI2665XEB1 I replaced the dispenser control panel on my Maytag MFI2665XEB1 as well as the dispenser pads per repairman. Now the water does not always shut off I am guessing water valve from what I am reading but which one and has turned on by itself. Makes ice no problem.
1 Answer Steve, Based on the information the water valve would be the issue with the water not shutting off. The part number for the valve will be WPW10312696. Read More...
Bob June 07, 2017 for Model Number G16SARXXF05 My water dispenser is working fine but my ice marker has quit working. Was told to try replacing water inlet valve. Do i replace the primary on in the back of frig or the secondary on inside the frig....? If so can u tell me the part number of the one I need.
1 Answer Bob, If the water dispenser is working, that would indicate the primary/isolation valve on the back of the refrigerator is working, and the problem is in the WPW10312696 / W10312696 Valve-Inlet inside the back wall of the refrigerator compartment. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
Noise June 02, 2017 for Model Number 596.79242016 I have a Kenmore bottom mount refrigerator with the ice maker and water dispenser. My problem is that the water coming out of the water dispenser is very slow and the valve makes a loud humming noise. Ice maker seems fine. Any ideas?
1 Answer Noise, You're on target, replace the water inlet valve, Based on the information, the solenoid coil is "chatterring" and partially lifting the plunger causing the slow water flow. Read More...
Paul March 03, 2017 for Model Number GI6SARXXF02 I am getting water thru the door and to the icemaker. Problem is that the icemaker overfills and is freezing solid in the bin. Auger gets frozen solid and won't turn at all. All I have is a bin of ice cubes and solid ice. I have already replaced part #WPW10498990. Do I need to replace the double water valve inside the fridge?
1 Answer Paul, Yes the dual water valve does sound like it could be the issue with this unit. Read More...

Joyce February 11, 2017 for Model Number GI6SDRXXQ06 I replaced the double water valve and didn't know what to do with the ground wires. I couldn't remember where they were attached and placed one on the water solenoid. Now when the icemaker calls for water, it pours out of the water dispenser, and the dispenser paddle when pressed doesn't hum the solenoid. I've been unable to see a wiring diagram on line to figure this out.
1 Answer Hello Joyce, You will need to swap the double wires on the water valve solenoids. This will provide voltage to the correct solenoid when energized. Read More...
Orla November 05, 2016 for Model Number GI6SARXXF06 I've removed the inside back panel to access the dual water valve. There's at least 30-40 foot of water hose coiled behind the panel. Why so much?
Rich October 06, 2016 for Model Number GI6SDRXXY07 It seems like there are two valves: one for ice maker and the other for the water dispenser. If so, will the water dispenser continue to operate even if the inlet valve dedicated to the icemaker fails?
1 Answer Rich, Yes, the water dispenser will still operate even though the icemaker valve is not working. Read More...
Mark June 25, 2016 I bought this inlet valve, i tested the continuity of the solenoids, the brown one has continuity but the green one doesn't, does that mean I got a defective order.
1 Answer Mark, You will want to try and install the part. If the part does not work then it would be faulty and if it does work then it would be ok. Normally no continuity could be a defective part but the best way to test is by installing and seeing if it operates. Read More...
