Sally, If your leak is from the valve, where the water supply line from the wall attaches then you need the primary fill valve WP12544002 . Its a relatively easy repair, just remember to shut the water off at the wall before you start. Basic household hand tools are about all you'll need. Basically, move the fridge out away from the wall, disconnect the water supply line from the fill valve(use a container or towel to collect the residual water in the line, unplug the power cord and remove the lower rear access panel on the back of the fridge. Remove the mounting screws holding the valve to the refrigerator frame, Disconnect and install the wires and tubes, one at a time, so you don't loose track, and reverse the procedure and test the operation. Good Luck and Thanks

Paulette, You're on the right track, if the water valve to the ice maker is clogged with plumbing debris, it will create the situation you describe. You may also want to replace the water filter EDR4RXD1 if you haven't recently. Good Luck and Thanks.

Hello Wayne. You can check the gear on the icemaker and see if it is broke. Also you can test and see if the valve is still releasing water, after the voltage to the valve is off. You will need to perform this test during harvest mode. If the valve still releases water after the voltage is off, the valve is bad. Hope this helps.
