The Water Inlet Valve is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. It controls the flow of water into the washer, ensuring the right amount of water enters the tub for each cycle. This valve connects to the water supply and is activated by the washing machine's control board to allow water to flow in and out as needed.

Over time, the water inlet valve can become faulty due to mineral deposits, wear and tear from constant use, or damage to the valve components. If the valve fails, it can cause issues with water flow, affecting the washing machine's performance.

Symptoms of a bad Water Inlet Valve include:

  • No water entering the washer
  • Slow filling or no water flow
  • Washer not filling to the proper level
  • Washer overflowing

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Ruben, First check and make sure the washer drain hose is high enough off the floor (38 inches) and that the drain hose isn't sealed or "stuffed" into the drain pipe. If the washer starts filling and the hose is sealed or too low, the water will "syphon" out the tub and cause the "LF" (long fill) code.
