Sadie January 26, 2015 for Model Number MAH2400AWW When I first start the load, the water seems to fill the washing machine correctly but when it trys to "shut off" if make a terrible knocking sound (to the point of vibration). It eventually stops filling and start the wash cycle, but the knocking sound is very, very concerning. My husband thinks it the cold water valve needs to be replaced, but we are not sure. Can you provide insight please? Thank you.
1 Answer Sadie, With the unit making a chattering noise when stopping the fill cycle, you should check first to make sure that the incoming water supply has good water pressure and then check the screens on the valve to make sure that they are not clogged. If these check ok then the issue will be the valve. Read More...

Scott September 16, 2013 Why does the cold water valve have 2 valves and the hot water valve only 1..Also I have a maytag Neptune and the fabric softner is not being siphoned into wash..I have the light blue top that suppose to act as siphon..Why is this??
1 Answer Hello Scott. The cold water valve sends water to 2 parts of the dispenser and the hot only 1 part of the dispenser. You may need to delute the softner with water to help it if it is to thick. Read More...
Mike May 13, 2012 for Model Number mah6700aww I purchased a hot water valve and then a water level pressure sensor and the washer still continues to fill. I spoke with one of your technicians and he said it could be the cold water valve. I do not want to continue to order parts and they still do not solve the problem. Do you have any insight on it.
1 Answer Hello Mike, Normally if a valve fails, it will be the cold water valve. The reason is that the mineral deposits and sedimentation on the hot side usually stay in the water heater so it's relatively protected. The cold water valve, on the other hand, has all of the sedimentation and mineral deposits go directly through it. The way to tell if the valve is bad is simple. Start the washer filling with cold water and unplug the washer. If the water continues to fill the machine, the valve has failed and will require replacement. If the water stops, it's usually the pressure switch. Let us know if we can provide any more assistance. Read More...
Thom April 03, 2012 for Model Number MAH6700AWW My washer often during a load has an OE on display, then has to be shut off and restarted. Sometimes the water just keeps running in it even when you hit the power button or cycle select to stop or pause it. When it's on and water is running and then the normal cycle would call for water you can hear it like it opens another valve or this one farther cause it's louder!
1 Answer Hi Thom. Remove the top by removing the 3-screws at the back of the top. Then slide the top back and lift the top up. UN hook the electrical connector one at a time and see if its the cold water (dual) valve part # WP34001151. or the hot water (single) valve part # WP34001131. You may need to just feel which supply hose has water constantantly flowing in it to be able to tell. The OE code is the inability to drain code. Thank You. Read More...
