Trisha April 25, 2015 for Model Number RBD305PRBOO The control panel is out, no lights and cannot turn the oven on. Breaker checked and not tripped. Is this a thermal fuse or thermal overload?
1 Answer Trisha, The best way to test this is at the control board. You will want to check for 120 vac at the p16 connector between pins 5 and 7 for 120 vac and if there is power there then test from the p16 pins 2 to 3 for 12 to 24 vac. If there is no power at this point then transformer is bad. If there is power at this point then the control board is faulty. If there is no power at pins 5 to 7 then the control board is faulty. Eric April 18, 2015 for Model Number RBD306PDB6 Both ovens are very slow to heat. Temp/ sensor seems to be OK 1096 ohms. Can the problem be one of the thermal fuses? The heat does cycle on and off during the heat up cycle, before reaching temp. Or is it the control board. The Offset Temp is zero.
1 Answer Eric, With the unit heating, the issue would not be with the thermal overload or fuse. If either of these were bad then it would not heat at all. The most likely cause for the issue would be with the control board or wiring between the control board and oven sensor. Read More...
Diane April 14, 2015 for Model Number GY398LXPS03 The Oven Temp isn't maintained. It turns on fine.I have a conventional oven and a convection oven. It seems the convection oven is OK. I replaced the sensor & checked both Broil & Bake elements and they are fine. Recently I cleaned the oven and It left so much more debris and baked on grease that I had to use a scour pad to remove. Not at all like it use to clean. Could it possible be the thermostat?
1 Answer Diane, You will want to check the oven sensor on the unit to make sure that the sensor is good. The resistance of the sensor should be 1080 ohms at 70 degrees and you would add 2 ohms for every degree higher. If the resistance is off then the sensor would need to be replaced. Read More...
Larry February 21, 2015 for Model Number GBS307PRS This is a built-in oven but I don't understand how to pull it out so I can replace the thermal overload fuse. There's nothing to hold on to to get a grip to pull it out. What's the trick to this?
1 Answer Hello Larry, You will first remove the screws that hold the unit to the cabinet. These are located inside the door. Once removed, you can carefully use one of the doors to get the unit wiggled back and forth far enough to grasp the sides for unit removal. Read More...

Debbie November 21, 2014 for Model Number KEMC308KBL0 The oven or broiler will not heat up. all the controls light up and work just oven won't heat up. also convection on microwave will not heat up
1 Answer Hello Debbie. Test at the terminal block for 240 volts. Make sure there is no burnt or damaged wires there as well. If all of that is good, then you need to test and see if your losing power from the relay board of if a thermal cutout is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Gordon D November 13, 2014 for Model Number RBD245PRQ00 My top broiler will not get hot. The bottom unit in that oven gets hop but not the top one. I checked the broiler heating element and there is continuity. The total bottom oven works. Thank you for any help you can give me.--Gordon
1 Answer Gordon, If the issue with the unit is just the upper oven broil not working then the thermal shutoff will not be the issue. If both bake and broil are not working then test the thermal overload for continuity. If there is no continuity then replace the thermal overload WP9759243. If the thermal overload is good then the issue will be in the control board WPW10438750. Read More...
