Eamonn September 21, 2011 for Model Number GC22272309 The threads on the auger motor and/or yoke have stripped and the yoke spins freely on the shaft. The only way to remove it is to cut it off. In that case I will have to replace both the motor and the yoke. Has anybody tried to weld the yoke to the shaft rather than replacing them? Thanks,
1 Answer Hello Eamonn. You can actually cut the yoke WP63052-2 off the motor with a dremel tool, and you will not damage the motor, if you are careful. I would not recommend welding the yoke to the motor assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
