After 5 years of owning my maytag dishwasher the buttons on the control panel stopped work but the unit would pass its self test Ksm D. • Lutherville , MD • August 04, 2014
Removed 6 screws, pried off the board/cable protector, then removed the lock and logic board off the old control panel. The tricky part is removing the ribbon cable and not bending the prongs on the logic board. Reversed the steps to install the new control panel purchased from you guys,.
I have to say one thing about Appliance Parts Pros - You guys have saved me over $1500 by mitigating the purchase of new appliances.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Dishwasher would not start Mark M. • Midlothian , VA • July 16, 2016
Maytag Dishwasher (about 5 years old). Some of the buttons had stopped functioning. Then the Start button began choosing whether or not to work. Eventually it would not start at all. Upon removing the control panel, the first thing I noticed was that the brackets that hold the two lower screws were broken. (So this was the reason that the door was so hard to open from the time it was new.) I trouble shot the thermal fuse, the door-latch switches, and inspected the control board trying to find...

Genuine Ge part

Part Number: WD34X20210
This part is a bezel and cover console assembly designed for use with dishwashers. This component is located at the top of the dishwasher and allows users to make changes to cycle preferences. It protects the buttons underneath the part and adds extra protection to the appliance. The most common reason to replace the bezel and cover console assembly is if it has become cracked or otherwise damaged.First, pull out the dishwasher and make sure it has been unplugged. While the dishwasher is out from under the cabinetry, disconnect the door springs so the door can be removed. The inner and outer panels and hinges will need to be separated to access the bezel and cover control assembly. Remove this entire part and slowly replace it using the new component. Work slowly to avoid damaging the plastic tabs. Once this part has been installed, reassemble the rest of the dishwasher. Reconnect power and push the appliance back in before use.The bezel and cover console assembly is designed to replace the original on General Electric dishwashers. It's sold as a single part. This is an authentic OEM component that has been directly sourced from the manufacturer.

Replacement of switch cover on ge dishwasher Frederick G. • West Granby , CT • May 06, 2017
After watching a video on how to replace this part, I was surprised at the amount of disassembley involved to replace the cover. The unit has to be moved out from under the counter about 10 inches to disconnect the door springs before removing the door. Next the hinges and the inner and outer panels have to be separated and then finally you have access to replace the trim panel. Getting the trim piece in is a little tricky to avoid breaking the many plastic tabs which hold it together. With...

Dishwasher showed flashing light on control panel with (dash dash) on "minutes remaining indicator " it would not cancel reset or cycle Jerry K. • Anderson , IN • April 17, 2015
The online repair technician recommended that I replace the control panel ($135). Frankly, I was I little leery, thinking that there was a good chance this wouldn't fix the problem. After ordering, receiving and installing the new control panel in about 45 minutes, I was pleasantly surprised that IT WORKED! My wife is happy that we avoided a service call and maybe the cost of a new dishwasher, Thanks for your help.
