I removed the kick panel/door and confirmed there was no flame. Inspection with a flashlight revealed the igniter was damage - partly broken away. Using a 1/4" socket set I removed the burner assembly. Inspection showed the burner was rusted and the flame deflector had fallen off. I ordered both the "Dryer Igniter and Bracket" and a burner. Every time I tried to start our dryer, the "Sensing Light" came on, I heard a little "click," and the dryer would not start. The plastic door was about 15 years old and the screw attach points failed. I used the part number stamped on the door and looked it up on Appliance Parts Pros. Then used the compatibility feature as a double check. It was a simple fix to reattach using the original eight screws. Read more
