Water leakage bottom right of dishwasher door David D. • Venice , FL • November 20, 2014
After discovering your web site and reading of others issues I ordered a door seal (my old one was a little short on the right side) a detergent door grommet, and the 2 water deflectors ( I decided to cover all the bases while I was at it. Very simple job with the information provided on your web site. I certainly have the confidence to tackle other appliance repair now.

Flappers on docking station were worn out and/or missing also the pump filter fabric was torn so a new pump filter was installed as well Gregory P. • Mansfield , OH • January 01, 2017
Dishes were 'gritty' with an almost invisible coating of specks smaller than grains of salt. Prior to ordering parts, I had to determine which part(s) needed replaced and which could benefit from a good cleaning. After viewing Appliance Parts Pros YouTube Videos, I removed the Main Manifold (snaps right off) including the Top Spray Arm. I discovered the Flappers of the Docking Station (AP6009888) were worn out and/or missing. I removed the Docking Station simply by popping the old one off...

My washing machine smelt horrible Bryan W. • Ogdensburg , NY • August 20, 2018
First off I have to say that Appliance Parts Pro's saved me from hiring a repair person, and quite possibly just getting rid of my washing machine. Their video's helped out SOOOOOOOO much and the advice one of their agents gave me over their online chat helped me trouble shoot something when I got stuck. On top of this they shipped my parts fast enough that less than 12 hrs later they arrived, which allowed me to get my machine up and running way faster than the other options I had available....

Dishwasher would run but there was no water in it R Wayne A. • Chattanooga , TN • December 28, 2015
I figured the valve that allowed water into the dishwasher was bad, or some controlling function of this process. I went online, typed in model number and had a full exploded view of the parts in my dishwasher. I ordered the inlet solenoid valve as the first step to what may be wrong. Turns out this part was the problem. With the online video it made replacement a breeze. Thank you APP for the RIGHT part AND instructions. Online purchasing and delivery are easy and timely.

The sink adapter was squirting water everywhere Devin F. • Saint Joseph , MO • December 19, 2015
Tipped the dishwasher on to its front, loosened the drain hose clamp and pulled the hose off. Then unscrew the fill hose which looks like a garden hose adapter. Cut the zip tie on the drain hose and take note of how both hoses are routed, then pull both hoses out the back of the dishwasher. Insert new hoses and route them correctly and hook everything back up.
Couple of notes, I didn't have to take off the outer cabinet to do this repair. Get plenty of towels because a lot of water can get...

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
There were two problems one of the spring links on the door broke which meant the door would free fall when opened unless you held on to it also the lower bearing on the motor virtually seized up Randall B. • Moab , UT • January 14, 2017
I first wanted to get the dishwasher running, before ordering the spring links. So I disassembled the pump / motor assembly to determine the reason the motor would not start. My wife cleaned all of the parts in the pump assembly. I took the motor apart and discovered that the lower bearing ( a sleeve type bearing) was dry and dirty, and was the culprit for the motor seizing. I cleaned up the bearing and lubricated it with SAE 20W. I also packed felt inside the cavity adjacent to the bearing....

Water leaking/dripping from door of bottom of dishwasher door Dan R. • Norwalk , OH • September 22, 2014
About a month ago, a sporadic drip was noticed on right hand bottom corner of dishwasher. Puddle would vary in size but nothing major. My first inclination was to change the door gasket (~$35 at a major online retailer) as this seemed reasonable to me and was a straightforward fix. Next wash cycle, no drip. However the drip returned the wash cycle after that, however this time at a different spot along the bottom of dishwasher door. I then replaced a deteriorated corner door seal (~$17...

Dishwasher would not complete or start its cycle without applying constant pressure to the door Wayne M. • Newark , DE • November 18, 2014
Discovered that the common cause of the problem was the latch in the door. Found a video online that showed the exact procedure for my model dishwasher. Ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros on a Thursday afternoon and it was in my hands by noon on Friday. Carefully took the door apart, compared parts, reassembled, and the joy on my wife's face was priceless when the dishwasher started up without doing anything special. Do not be afraid to attempt this repair.

Heard a loud bang and thought a door spring on my 20 year old maytag dishwasher had broken George T. • Naples , FL • September 27, 2014
Without knowing exactly what broke I ordered 2 springs and 2 door spring links. I knew the door springs were weak and a parts man told me many years ago to always replace BOTH springs or the one you didn't replace will soon break. It is a simple procedure, just remember how the springs/links are attached. make a simple drawing or take a picture should you need it. I watched two "how to" video's
which made it look harder to do than it really is. Turn the circuit breaker off and turn the...

The bottom adjustable rack was moving because one of the dishwasher tine clips was broken Paul P. • Flemington , NJ • May 02, 2014
This isn't going to be easy to follow without an assembly at hand and in front of you.
Having purchased and received a pair of replacement clips (though only one of mine was actually broken), I began to figure out how to put the assembly back together not having recalled how I'd taken it apart. It was a bit of a Chinese puzzle that I solved with some trial, error and patience.
The 1st ah-ha moment came when I realized that the orientation of the rack was constrained by its dimensions, the...

Runs but will not fill with water Michael K. • Las Vegas , NV • January 25, 2020
I first installed the inlet pump with no results. I then ordered a Control Switch and Float and Nut. This fixed the problem. Everything comes out so clean. I also replaced the filter which allowed me to clean debris around old filter. It is also easier to replace all these parts with the dishwasher pulled out and tilted on its side. I had to pull mine out to unplug power to the dishwasher.
