I'm starting with a quick background on my dryer. About 18 months ago the belt on the dryer started slipping and squealing. I had a can of belt dressing spray so I popped the top open and sprayed the belt. It actually worked for about a year before it started squealing again. I used Fixya as an initial source describing my problem. I got two responses which were very helpful. One that the "coils" were probably the problem. Two, that the problem could be the thermostat or a thermistor in the dryer. I verified that AC was coming from the timing control, that both the two terminal and three terminal coils,the igniter and shut off thermostat all had continuity. I watched videos on the disassembly of my dryer model, and got the model number hiding on the upper dryer door jamb. After calling AppliancePartsPros.com for help, then ordered parts with the help of APP. It took almost a full day to disassemble the dryer I have, as it is a little more complicated than some models, and I went very slowly on purpose to not lose screws, or break plastic parts. I did a little research and found out that the dryer drum rollers needed to be replaced. I decided that since I would be replacing the 4 drum rollers that I should replace the belt and the belt drive pulley. This was a simple project thanks to YouTube. There is a video on youtube that talks about how to disassemble the electronic component out of the control board so I really won't go into that part of it. This disassembly of the control board will need to take place before you can even get started taking the gray piece out of the console to replace it. Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking. I saw a lot of lint had built up inside the unit where there shouldn't have been that much. Replaced the Rollers, Pins, belt and belt tensioner. One thing to keep in mind. In the video it was said that the back and front roller pins were different by lengths. They were the same length for my model. The differences were found to be the rear pins have left handed threads and the front ones were standard right hand threads.
