Removed shaft with slide hammer and inspected the yoke and gearing replaced the shaft and seals with the shaft kit and replaced the tub bearing. 32 years and still running strong Maytag yeah!!!! Doubt the newer ones will run as long thanks for having the parts. Read more

Clamp Includes 205529 Bolt Kit. It Does *not* include The The Rubber Seal. If Seal Required, Use WP211232
I removed the front cover and saw water a rusted out drum cover clamp. Water gushed out at this point when i operated the machine. I ordered a new clamp and seal from Appliance Parts Pros, which arrived quickly. I wire-brushed the drum and it's cover clean, in the sealing area and installed the new seal and clamp. NOTE do not set the cover down all the way down, or the tub will not "spin". Leave 3/8- 1/2" clearance between the top of the tub and the upper cover. I chose to fix my old... Read more
I took the cover off the transmission and determined that the only possible knocking had to be coming from the yoke. I ordered a new yoke and all the tub seals needed to put it back together like new. I also ordered a new drive pulley bearing because this bearing is always turning whenever the washer is used. I cleaned all the parts up while I was waiting for the new parts to arrive. I promised my wife I would make it look like new. I installed all the new parts in one day and let the... Read more
Perfectly! Replacing Agitator Shaft is not for the faint of heart. Replacing output shaft pinion gear on the bottom of the agitator shaft requires care, experience and patience with pressing/driving drift pins without damaging the gear itself. One slip of the drift/punch or press apparatus will ruin the gear/teeth face and will lead to failure of the transmission internally when put back into service. Screw kit for front panel.
The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I removed the lid to get to the two philips head screws to remove that part of the shut-off switch. I took the new switch out of the package and compared it to the old switch.
