Fixes ice dispenser not dispensing or auger not turning. This motor assembly drives the auger shaft that moves ice from bin to chute. Moderate difficulty.
Replaced the motor, however not the easiest to do with the older refrigerators. First I had to remove the shelf that hold the ice bin. There is a small screw midway underneath the tray. Once removed the shelf is loose but still hard to remove. There is a side panel that is slotted andonce removed the shelf can then be removed, but not knowing that it is a very odd fitting unit. I had the water filter holder replaced to fix the problem with the water for the door and the ice maker. The holder did not come with the cover for the release button for the filter. I ordered a replacement cover (Button) for the filter release. The cover fits over the release lever and was easily snapped onto the lever.
