I replaced the burner head. I turned off power to the stove, although I did not turn off the gas. I gave the old burner head a slight twist counter-clockwise until it lifted off the stove. I used the pliers to pull the wires from the old burner, then placed them onto the contacts on the new burner. Set it in place, and gave it a clockwise twist until it was snug. If your gas burner won't light or sparks weakly, corroded igniter screws may be the cause. These mounting screws secure the igniter to the burner assembly.
Replaced old igniter. also purchased new screws for burner and igniter assembly since old screws were corroded from spilled food/fluids etc over the years. made the installation much easier. If you need to replace a worn igniter, do yourself a favor and go to hardware store and get matching replacement screws or buy new with igniter. The video shown was completely incorrect for the gasket needed on my range. I had to remove the door, disassemble the inside panel, and remove the old gasket. I suggest you have assistance when doing this. Putting on the new gasket was challenging but not impossible for a do it your selfer. You should make a video for this gasket so people don't think it is as easy as pulling a few pins around the window!! Read more
