The Trap Duct Assembly is an OEM part for GE dryers. This part directs the airflow from the dryer drum to the exhaust vent. This assembly ensures efficient drying by guiding hot air out of the dryer while collecting lint and debris in the trap, preventing it from clogging the venting system.
Causes of a bad trap duct assembly can include lint buildup over time, physical damage due to heavy usage, or obstruction from foreign objects.
Symptoms of a bad Trap Duct Assembly include:
Our GE front loader dryer is approximately 10 years old. It started making a loud noise. Before we sank another $600 for a new dryer, I decided to go online to search Youtube videos to try to find out if anyone else had the same problem. I found that a lot of dryers had drum support bearings that wore out and needed to be replaced and a lot of dryers were also having clothes caught up in them. I then found an Appliance Parts Pro video on how to fix this problem and found out what parts... Read more
This replacement part is a high-limit thermostat, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This high-limit thermostat is typically found in dryers and controls the heat inside the drying tub. This is especially important as different dryer settings require different amounts of heat. If the high limit thermostat works properly, the temperature inside the tub should reach the correct amount during each drying cycle with no issues. A new high-limit thermostat might be needed if the user notices that the dryer is unable to reach the appropriate level of heat for a certain drying cycle. This is also true if the dryer is becoming too hot when the heat is supposed to be set to low. Make sure the dryer is cooled down prior to replacing this part as the areas in the back of the dryer can become very hot during use. Be sure to reference the specific user manual for more instructions on how to replace the thermostat. This thermostat is sold individually and is a genuine OEM part. The thermostat is sourced directly from the manufacturer.

The Drive Belt is an OEM part for GE dryers. This belt wraps around the dryer drum, the tension pulley, and the motor pulley, enabling the drum to rotate during the drying cycle. It ensures the effective tumbling of clothes for efficient drying. Causes of a bad drive belt can include normal wear and tear over time, excessive friction, or overloading the dryer, which can lead to the belt stretching, fraying, or breaking. Symptoms of a bad drive belt include:
I replaced the idler pulley assembly, the bearing plastic and the drive belt. While disassembled I cleaned the interior of the cabinet and lubricated the drum bearings with silicone after cleaning everything thoroughly. The dryer is now quiet and hopefully stays that way. Read more
The Dryer Lint Filter is an OEM replacement part for GE dryers. This lint filter is designed to trap lint and debris from clothing during the drying cycle, preventing it from entering the dryer's exhaust system. By capturing lint, the filter helps maintain airflow efficiency, ensuring optimal drying performance and reducing the risk of fire hazards.
Over time, lint filters can become worn, torn, or clogged due to regular use. A damaged or ineffective filter may allow lint to bypass the trap, potentially clogging the vent system and impacting dryer efficiency.

This cleaning felt mounts on the dryer's front shroud. It lightly contacts the rotating drum to wipe away lint and residue, helping keep the drum edge clean and supporting consistent airflow to the lint filter.
Selected and ordered parts from online drawings. Watched videos showing how to make repair. Replaced worn parts with new ones. Suggested improvement: Videos didn't show my model (I know there are many models, showing all is probably not possible). In case of Felt the video showed a Maytag dryer when my model was GE. In my case Felt had torn and dislodge from slot so I didn't know exactly how it should be installed. A simple picture of the installed Item would help. Also the parts list should... Read more
Hi-limit thermostat. L210.
Replaced the high limit safety thermostat. Ordering was easy, and the part came quickly. The video on the web site was helpful, although I was not able to follow the instructions fully. Unless you have super skinny, long arms, you cannot reach under and around the dryer tub to reach the belt tension arm. I ended up having to remove the side panel of the dryer to remove the belt from the motor. Replacing the thermostat was simple enough. At this point, it seems to have corrected the... Read more
This outlet backup thermostat for dryers mounts on the exhaust duct and provides secondary over-temperature protection. It shuts the heater off if exhaust air gets too hot, helping maintain safe, consistent drying.
Checked vent first to see if there was a blockage. Removed top, front and drum of dryer. Replaced all sensors including flame detection and gas valve coils. Re-assembled and tested. Dryer was now heating Read more
This replacement blower wheel for a dryer mounts to the drive motor and pulls air through the drum, lint filter, and exhaust, restoring proper airflow so loads dry efficiently and the appliance runs as intended. What it does:
Mounted inside the dryer drum, this replacement baffle lifts and separates laundry as the drum turns to improve airflow and even drying. Replacing a cracked or missing baffle restores quiet, effective tumbling and helps prevent fabric damage. What it does:
I ordered two new baffles and 7 screws. I also ordered 6 large washers. We were running with one baffle held by only 2 of 3 screws. It appears that a repairman in the past had removed the large washers and over time, the screw heads reamed out the hole, causing the baffles to detach and break. In about 15 minutes, I was able to tighten up the existing baffle and add the two new ones. I also added the 6 big washers to help strengthen this to prevent future issues. I no longer have to listen to... Read more
The Bearing Assembly is an OEM component designed for GE dryers. This assembly contains the dryer bearing and facilitates smooth drum rotation during drying cycles.
Symptoms of a bad bearing assembly can include wear and tear over time, exposure to vibrations, or rust/corrosion damage.
Causes of a bad bearing assembly include:
This OEM GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore dryer models.
