This drain cover gasket seals the drain/pump cover at the bottom of the dishwasher tub to keep wash water contained. Replacing a cracked or flattened gasket helps stop leaks from the base and protects nearby components.

Ordered dishwasher rack tine tips and bottle of vinyl touch up paint. I applied the paint to each tine and then placed the tips on the tines. I waited a few hours before using my dishwasher to allow the paint to dry and allow the tips to stick to the tines. Read more

I cleaned all the jet nozzles with a toothpick and a pipe cleaner to remove the hard water deposits. I then replace the ring bearing under the bottom spray wand and the ring bearing under the upper spray wand. I also replaced the smaller radial ring bearing. This upper draw bar is a door-latch linkage piece used in dishwashers. It connects the handle/actuator to the latch mechanism so the door closes securely and the door switch engages, allowing the cycle to start reliably.
Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more
