I called an appliance repair man to see if he would come and install the new handle but he said I would have to bring either the microwave or the door to him. With the microwave above the stove that wasn't going to happen so I fixed it myself and I am 75. The handle was a lot cheaper than buying a new microwave and getting someone to install it. I did have to use the old screws and new screws would have helped since I dropped one and it went under the stove. Read more

Asked a question on-line; received an answer in less than 15 minutes. Ordered replacement grill [w/o stainless steel front]. Price was the lowest I found. Received part in 2 days. Removed stainless steel front from old grill and installed on new part [be CAREFUL; SS metal front has very sharp edges!] Total time for replacement from taking old SS front off to final installation would have been only 20-25 minutes except two plastic lower tabs on new part were not molded correctly and would... Color: brown. Measures about 9 inches in diameter.
Thought it must be the motor so I replaced it which was very easy but did not cure the noise. Decided all that was left was to replace the ring even though I could not see anything wrong with it. Replaced ring problem solved Read more

No other fix but to replace the whole grill. I bought the part which comes in black and I have to transfer the stainless skin from my old part to the new part. The lower tabs are tight so you have to make it bigger. I used a sand paper to make the tab space bigger. Part is made of plastic so be extra careful when putting it back. Do not force it. Read more

I have one of those combo units with the microwave on top and the oven on the bottom. The thermometer switch located on the upper right side mounted on top of the magnetron read open on a continuity test. Replaced the thermal fuse. Everything works fine now. Note: The thermal switch on the left side read closed, the fan switch on the lower right side read open. I just watched some youtube videos on what and how to test the components. The 20A fuse was good. So I tested the thermal... Read more
I had to remove the microwave from the range and then remove the cover from the microwave to determine the exact problem. After a visual inspection then discharging the high voltage capacitor, I used a meter to test the high voltage diode and fuses. After using the meter to ohm out the magnetron, I removed it from the unit, and seeing that the hole in the end of the magnetron's tube was enlarged and burnt, as if it was arcing, I assumed it was the bad part. I ordered the parts from Appliance... Read more
By myself. Watched a you tube video of a Microwave that was simalar to mine. Took a few pictures of the wires just to make sure I put them in the right spot. I took my time because I was standing on a step stool. The ribbon was the hardest. Making sure it was pushed in all the way otherwise the control panel will light up but the but on will not work when you install it. Read more
