Simply open the top of the washer by inserting a putty knife (watch YouTube ) and then the front panel by removing two bottom philips head screws on the front. The whole front panel comes right off. Using pliers the spring clams holding each hose, they come off and each hose is replaced. The drain one was only leaking but since it has open I changed both and even the drive belt. Frigidaire Gallery gas dryer from maybe 15 years ago. Based on the fact the the smell was only in the dryer, I concluded it must be the gas valve failing to completely seal when closed. I tore into the washer until i found what i thought was the problem which was the upper outer tub splash cover gasket and when i couldnt find one in my town i ordered a new one from u folks and replaced it hoping for the best and was successful.
