Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven slow to light and come up to temp   Tim P. • Ham Lake , MN • December 20, 2014

Read the reviews on your site and watched your video and decided it was worth a try to fix rather than to replace stove. Ordered the igniter for the oven then I also ordered the igniter for the broiler as it was sluggish as well. When you go, go all the way. Only problem I had was with the wire nuts, wish that something more substantial was provided. Got the stuff quickly, as promised and installed as per video and oven and broiler work like new. By: Frigidaire

  • Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply; ventilate the area before servicing
  • Use two wrenches to back up fittings; avoid twisting the regulator or valve bodies

Oven Door Hinge, Right Side
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 316216500

This is the right side door hinge. For left side use 316216501.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven door hinges broke.   Tim B. • Antigo , WI • April 15, 2018

Ordered these replacements. Found it odd that one side was more than the orher, but this was the same on every site I searched. This site was the best price after shipping. They both came in three days, as scheduled, but in individual packages and two different brands? They did both fit, and were easy to install. Only issue that I had was that the screw holes that hold the hinges to the oven were not threaded to receive the small machine screws. Luckily I had a 10-32 tap to solve this problem.... Read more

Door Handle
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 316270201

Color: White. For bisque order 316270202. This oven door handle no longer comes with an insert for the screw. Which means you will need to order the replacement screws part number 5304500008 to grip into the plastic of the new handle.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The door handle screw holes were hollowed out (the handle is plastic) making the door continuously fall off the plastic latches on the door trim were also broken off.   Matthew F. • Columbia , MO • January 17, 2020

Replacing the trim takes a little bit of alignment and light force. The trim slides over the glass panel of the door, with the glass sliding into plastic tabs. We kept the door nearly vertical (almost closed), lined up the tabs on the trim with the glass door, and used mild force to slide the trim down onto the glass door. (Also, we found that the tabs on trim we ordered were much bigger than the tabs on our broken trim. This is probably due to slight variations in Frigidaire's design over... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Needed to replace bottom panel in Fridgedaire electric oven   Sharon T. • Monroe Township , NJ • July 31, 2018

Went on site, read the reviews to see how difficult it would be or if any problems. Then ordered it And received it the next day!!! The 2 screws were a bit hard to remove. Found the right screwdriver by using the 2 new screws I ordered. Once I got them out, lifted the old panel out. Pushed down on one corner so could get a grip on opposite corner to lift out. Once out, put in new one. Put in new screws and good to go! Will certainly NOT line with foil ever again!!! Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The control board appeared to have fallen inside the range top   Jacquelyn M. • Los Angeles , CA • December 03, 2016

I took off the back cover of the range. I then took out the bolts which had held the control board in. I placed the control overlay on the new control board, and then plugged it in. I bolted the control board in place and replaced the back cover. For $135 in parts and 15 minutes of labor, I did what the appliance repair company wanted to charge me $500 for. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Fuel saftey valve   Steven M. • Perkinsville , VT • October 03, 2014

From the Appliance Parts website I watched a 3 minute Youtube video. The video actually explained the process on another range but it was enough information for me to do the project myself. The part came 2nd day UPS and I installed it in under an hour. The only hitch was that I didn't see the note (maybe it wasn't there) that explained how the valve is set for Natural gas and that for LP gas I'd need to adjust the jet that goes into the burner tube. Maybe that was on the video. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Changing oven from lp to natural gas   Kim G. • Prescott Valley , AZ • March 06, 2016

We bought a stove off Craigslist and didn't realize it was LP Gas until we got it home and my husband was hooking it up and the burners wouldn't light all the way around. My husband has been out of the gas company for over 10 years now and was a little rusty on what was happening. I jumped online and when I read that the possibility was because LP Gas, my husband said..."thats it."
