I have a Kenmore dishwasher and this is the second time doing this repair. The dishwasher door wouldn’t click in place when closed and the lights on the control panel wouldn’t turn on. My kids like to push on the handle to get onto the counter causing the latch assembly piece to break after awhile. It’s a simple fix with the hardest part being getting the front panel lined back up to put back on. I ended up not needing the strike piece but got it just in case it had been bent.

Ordered a new bracket for the heating element because of all the melted plastic on it. Also ordered a new lower washer arm. Both came quickly and the lower arm I can no longer get from the manufacturer. Both installed quickly and worked like there was never anything wrong.
