Fix F1, F3, or F10 error codes and inaccurate oven temperatures with this sensor. Simple DIY replacement takes about 30 minutes with basic tools.
Bought a used Frigidaire 36 inch stove. The broiler didn't come on but the burners lit and the stove worked so I made do for about 4 or 5 years with that. Then the F10 code came up and it wouldn't stop beeping until I unplugged it. I figured the electronics/circuit board was probably bad and ordered a replacement. I was confused about what part to order. The parts list includes "Control Panel" and "Clock - Timer". Turns out the control panels are the glass panel on the front of the stove... Read more
Illuminates your oven interior so you can monitor cooking without opening the door. Replace when burned out or dimming. Verify fit with your model number.
Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... Oven won't heat after self-cleaning? This high-limit thermostat cuts power when temperatures get too high. Moderately easy DIY repair fix.
Online chat here said that the oven sensor should be replaced. I got the feeling that was a bit off, so I went with my gut and ordered the thermostat as well. Replaced the sensor and that didn't fix it. Replaced the thermostat and it worked like a charm! Disappointed that they were overconfident in their answer and it would have taken me more days to fix - but, the products came in quickly (basically, next day) and were correct. Online video for my particular oven was incorrect - but it's... Read more
Oven not heating or baking unevenly? A failed bake element is often the cause. This replacement requires pulling the oven out to access the rear panel.
First, I took an ohm reading across the elements and determined the bad one, which was failed, open circuit. (Zero continuity) I then replaced the lower heating element of the upper oven. Although the design of the oven and element make it appear that it will just drop down and slide out the front, this is not quite the case. There is not enough clearance for it to drop all the way down. You have to pull the entire double-oven unit out of the wall, separate the upper and lower halves a few... Read more

Microwave door won't open when you press the button? This door release lever connects the button to the latch mechanism. DIY fix in 30 minutes.
Turn off breaker, remove all screws { 4 on mine } inside oven door holding oven and microwave to kitchen cabinet and slide oven assembly out of cabinet {on to a temporary shelf of {4} 5 gallon buckets/plywood/bricks/shims that I made on the floor atop a scrap of carpet} just enough to access the side and rear screws of microwave's protective metal housing, then remove a total of 16 screws { there were 2 screws just inside top of "opened" microwave door that were holding top flat silver metal... Oven won't heat or shuts off during use? A blown thermal fuse cuts power to prevent overheating. Simple diagnosis with a multimeter, quick replacement.
Microwave runs but won't heat, or stays on when door opens? A faulty door switch is the likely cause. DIY repair takes about 30 minutes with basic tools.
I diagnosed this problem via the web and the advice was spot on. The problem was a failure of the bottom door switch. I used a multimeter to verify that the switched never closed properly. It took me a minute to figure out how to remove the old switch (press a release tab under the switch while simultaneously rotating counter-clockwise). That was about the most difficult part of the repair. Read more
