Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Cracked panel glass inner oven door   George P. • Red Bank , NJ • November 21, 2014

Opened oven door to the fully opened position. Pulled up the the lock located on both hinge supports and engaged it in the hook of the hinge levers. You may need to apply a little downward pressure on the door to pull the locks fully over the hooks. In addition, you may need to use a flat head screwdriver to "help" engage the hinge locks over the hook. Hold the door securely on both sides (not the door handle). Pulled the bottom of the door up and toward me to disengage the hinge supports.... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Gas regulator valve was bad   Barry B. • North Charleston , SC • August 08, 2015

My gas & Carbon Monoxide alarm went off at 6:30 am a couple of Saturday's ago. Had to call fire dept. and gas company. Gas company found a leak in the area of my gas cooktop. They turned off gas and locked the meter. Found the leak & fixed, but while running pressure test on the line, found a leak at the shutoff valve on water heater. Fixed that, called gas company. They checked out everything & turned gas back on. They turned all pilots back on but couldn't get cooktop to light. Said I put too... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven door would not close tightly   Seth B. • Needham , MA • January 02, 2015

I bought replacement hinges and installed them myself. The hardest part of the job was the first part: to remove the oven door you have to lock the old hinges with small brackets, and one side did not want to lock--I had to use a hammer. The door was heavier than it looks, but the only challenge after that was the fact that the edges of the door parts were sharp. I probably should have worn gloves when handling them. You have to take the door apart to insert the new hinges, but it's just... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bushing had been damaged   Lynda H. • Chattanooga , TN • March 11, 2017

Very easy fix. I couldn't find the part number so actually ordered this part just by looking at the picture. Fortunately I guessed right and the part was exactly what I needed. I just had to slip the part over the part that holds the temperature control knob on my gas cook top. I received the part the next day after I ordered it! Very satisfied. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Needed to replace burner pan and igniter   Ron W. • Indianapolis , IN • December 06, 2015

Very easy fix. Lifted off the grill and burner. Unscrewed 2 screws. Pulled the burner pan up and off. Disconnected the wire to the igniter. Used needle nosed pliers to remove the clip holding the igniter in place. Removed the gasket from the old burner pan. Placed the new igniter in the hole of the new burner pan and slipped the old clip on the igniter to hold it in place. Then put the old gasket on the new burner pan. Then connected the igniter wire to the new igniter and put the burner pan... Read more
