Running but not cooling Aaron R. • Malakoff , TX • June 12, 2016
Looked up possible causes on line and found video about trouble shooting. It said to check starter cap and run relay on side of compressor.
Removed both and found both were bad .ordered replacements on line from appliancePartspros.com.
Installed new parts and is working properly. This repair job was on a 2012 Frigidaire refrig.
You would think a refrig. Would last longer than 4 years. The original parts and the replacement parts were light weight and cheaply made.
I'll probably be doing this...

Freezer was cold but refrigerator was warm John H. • Chehalis , WA • July 13, 2015
This issue was with a refrigerator that we acquired with a house we bought. The freezer was cold, making ice well, overall doing great. The refrigerator was not cold however. I had this issue with our own refrigerator in the past, and it was related to the defrost fan not working and the coils freezing up. However this refrigerator's coils had no ice buildup. Doing some searching on the internet I was able to narrow it down to the damper between the freezer and refrigerator not opening...

Ice maker door not sealing causing frost buildup and leaking Richard B. • Shoreline , WA • October 11, 2016
I wasn't sure if it was the door being warped, the spring return being worn, or the rotary damper failing, so I ordered all to update the door mechanism. I also ordered a new micro switch since one of the switches had started to require more and more pressure to actuate. Figured I'd fix it at the same time.
Repair was very straightforward and the videos available on this and other repair sites were very helpful. I found a video that showed replacing the door mechanism on a nearly identical...

Deli/meat pan installment Kevin G. • Fort Lauderdale , FL • March 02, 2016
I had purchased a model refrigerator that did not come with the deli/meat pan, and I was told by the manufacturer's customer service department that my purchased model was not designed with the item.
I made comparisons with other models that had the deli/meat pan and found that the shelving alignments were the same so I decided to improvise and install the deli/meat pan.
The manufacturer's customer service department did assist me with obtaining the appropriate part numbers and I placed the...

Door racks/door stop broken. Jennifer S. • Lincoln , NE • December 13, 2020
I wasn’t sure where I could get parts for the fridge, Google brought me here. Super easy to look up model #’s and locate parts by type/location with the appliance map. I needed to change the racks and the doorstop. The racks were super simple. I would have succeeded with the doorstop too, but the holes at the bottom are stripped and the doorstop wasn’t secured correctly in the first place. So that’s frustrating, but appliance parts pros were easy to use, parts came quickly and The video from...

The second freezer shelf was impossible to place in the holes available for it when i purchased the side by side refrig/freezer eleven years ago i am just now realizing it was missing Julia G. • Elyria , OH • November 25, 2014
I bought a shelf but was unable to insert it. The shelf should have been added when the refrig was assembled. I called your company, spoke with Danielle and was given a 20% discount offer for all the part I needed to replace. The 20% discount from Frigidaire was much higher in price than parts ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com. I took my shelf to Home Depot and had an employee cut off a portion of one prong. I was then able to insert the shelf. I used a screwdriver to remove the plastic...

My refrigerator items were freezing Mayilet F. • Hialeah , FL • February 24, 2020
I ordered a freezer temperature control. I ordered from you because parts are certified. Last thing I wanted was to go through the replacement process with a part that didn’t work. I’m not a handy person by nature, and I have zero common sense. I watched the awesome instructional video that you provided with my order several times. Before receiving or even opening the package, I felt that I knew what to expect because I watched the video so many times. Before beginning, I made sure I had as...
