Went to the GE website and found the diagram and operating manuals for my model of microwave . Located the necessary parts that needed to be replaced and then purchased them on AppliancePartsPros.com at a savings. Repair was a 15 minute event and microwave now enters cooking mode and door shuts and stays shut just like before it was broken. Read more
I goggled why my microwave would not heat and found an article on Appliance pros of 3 possibilities. 2 easy to fix..so I started with the first one which was the door switches. I purchased two lamp sockets and two lamp bulbs and fixed the microwave myself. It took approximately 25 minutes to change out the sockets and put the new bulbs in. My lights on my microwave are working perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Read more
Went to Appliance Pros and found the part for my microwave. Web site was very easy to use. Ordered the thermal fuse and it was delivered in 2 days. Shipping was a a bit expensive, but can't complain with two day delivery. Replaced the failed part and the microwave now works great. It 1 1/2 hours, but I took my time.
