Protective grille cover that mounts over the temperature sensor in your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to properly shield the sensor.
Common theme on the blogs was thermistors and or defrost heater/thermostat. Ran self-diagnostics which turned on defrost heater which was fine. All five thermistors indicated ok on diagnostic also, but I read more than one time "replace the thermistors no matter what if your FF section isn't cooling". So I ordered all five thermistors and defrost limiter thermostat. Received all in 48 hours (great shipping service), took me about three hours to replace all thermistors and thermostat just as... Protective enclosure for the ice crusher mechanism in your refrigerator's dispenser. Replace if cracked, broken, or damaged from ice jams or wear.
I ordered a replacement auger from AppliancePartsPros.com. Upon receipt of the new auger, I watched the repair video and took the ice crusher apart. I found several other parts that needed to be replaced as well. Once All the parts were received, I again watched the video. The video was not specific enough to show how to reassemble the ice crusher blades and the two types of washers. I found another video on YouTube that walked me through specific details of assembly and everything went... Read more

Replaces the worn or cracked hinge bushing at the bottom of your refrigerator door. Installs on the lower hinge pin for smooth door movement and alignment.
Replaced upper and lower thimble's, lever arm, cam closure. Door stop was not the problem, but ordered it and replaced it too. The door of course has to come off, remove the top hinge, and lift it away. Lubricated moving parts with silicone spray. Be sure and put the door back in the open position, so the lever arm and cam closure can properly interact, then close the door. Remove the plastic grate at the bottom to get at the lever arm. Presto. Problem gone. Don't put excessive weight... Read more

Checked around and the recommended BIG local parts/repair company said the part would take 7-10 business days to get and wanted $14 more than your price and you had it in stock. I ordered it on a Saturday night and it was at my door ob Tuesday afternoon. Also needed a little plastic locking piece which you also had in stock and it cost less that the local guy who'd have to order it as well. Thanks! Read more

Ice won't dispense or drive spins freely? This auger drive coupler connects the motor to the ice bucket. Moderately difficult repair with basic tools.
The auger in ice bucket was frozen and locked in place (some how liquid water must have spilled inside and froze the shaft and bushing). When the motor was activated to deliver ice, the jam caused the motor shaft to strip the threads. With the threads stripped, there is no way (that I could find) to get the drive auger off of the shaft (btw, it is left-hand threaded). Apparently the Drive Auger is made of stainless steel - a harder metal then the motor shaft. To repair it, I removed the... Read more
Secures the ice chute flapper in your refrigerator door. Replace if cracked or missing to restore proper sealing and prevent frost buildup. Verify fit.
I replaced the solenoid, door, spring and bucket. The bucket cracked from ice freezing inside it. Ice froze inside the bucket because the solenoid stopped pulling the door closed which allowed hot humid air into the freezer. While I was in there I replaced the dispenser door, spring and crank because they are cheap and the old ones were moldy. The mold is most likely from the door not closing and causing condensation on the parts as well. Read more

Black plastic funnel extension attaches to the front of your refrigerator's ice dispenser. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to reduce splashing.
I ordered the ice door assembly and a door recess spring and while I was working on that particular area the ice chute funnel that kept falling off on one side. It was all very easy, took maybe 15 mins in all. I watched the "how to" video that was posted and it was extremely helpful, giving me to confidence to do this myself. The only thing I might do different another time would be to take a look at the assembly before ordering parts. I didn't as I didn't want to keep opening the area up... Read more
