This genuine OEM part is the main control board for refrigerators. The main control board is the primary circuit board that controls the refrigerator's essential functions of maintaining and controlling temperature. If the refrigerator is no longer staying cool, powering on, or maintaining proper temperature, the main control board will need to be replaced. Luckily, this is a fairly simple repair.To begin, start by unplugging the refrigerator. Once unplugged, proceed to uninstall the inner door panel of the refrigerator by removing the mounting screws. Once removed, access the old control board. Remove the wire harness and any individual wires attached to the old board. After that, pull the old board out of its mounting brackets to fully remove it from the refrigerator. Reinsert the wires into their correct terminals on the new board and snap it into its mounting brackets. Once secured, reinstall the inner panel of the refrigerator and restore power to the appliance. This authentic replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse brand refrigerators.

I got an estimate for $793 to repair my Frigidaire Professional Series refrigerator which didn't make a lot of sense to spend that much for repair. So I was without a frig for over a year. I wasn't sure if it was the door being warped, the spring return being worn, or the rotary damper failing, so I ordered all to update the door mechanism. First, I will never, ever make the mistake of unscrewing anything on an appliance while it is still connected to power - what started as a cosmetic fix on the freezer door ended up costing me $340 to fix after I shorted out one of the boards for the dispenser. Replaced both the Ice dispenser power board and Ice dispenser control board.
