This was a pretty easy fix. Removed the screws around the perimeter of the inside cover of the door and pressed the outer door cover upward to release it from slots retaining it. There are four wires to remove (2 for the detergent door release and 2 for the rinse agent release). Removed the 6 screws retaining the dispenser assembly and inserted the new one. Reassembly is simply in reverse order. Problem solved for less than the cost of a service technician's call! Read more

This is a circulation pump motor for dishwashers. It controls the main pump of the appliance.The pump is directly responsible for removing extra water from the dishwasher after use. When a dishwasher's circulation pump motor goes bad, the main indicator is usually leaking from the appliance. There will be a noticeable amount of water emerging from the bottom of the machine whenever the cycle is engaged. Unplug the dishwasher from its main power source and water hookup. Remove the dishwasher from its space in the counter. Remove all necessary entry plates to access the interior of the dishwasher. There is a metal bracket holding the current motor in. Unscrew the two screws that secure the bracket and remove this component. Remember which way the motor is oriented before removing it. Unplug the power cable connecting the motor to the dishwasher. Put the two new sealing rings on the new pump motor. Dishwasher worked fine except the top rack would keep coming off the rails, could see the rollers needed replacement. Washer is 10 years old, and in that time the rollers had become brittle and broken. At first tried to use old screw and washer, but washer was impossible to remove from screw as I have hard water and the calcium deposits seemingly cemented it. It's an easy fix. Just remove the two screws holding it in place. Then it will be easier to remove the supply line. Disconnect the quick-connect wires. Remove the rubber hose and clamp.
