I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock. By-the-way,this was ALL PRECIPITATED by wanting to clean the interior side of oven door glass after my wife self-cleaned the oven! How in-the-world did grease get there in the first place!? Could not level stove. Front leveling legs had pieces broken out where leg contacted floor. Back leveling legs were worn and did not stay at corrected height when stove returned to full weight on floor. Replaced both front and back leveling legs, and stove was able to be leveled. I searched on your website for a replacement stem. Unfortunately the stem is not sold separately. I purchased the entire valve after confirming with your online rep that I was ordering the correct part. I received the valve in 2 days removed the stem and inserted it directly into the existing burner valve. Perfect fit easy installation and burner works as it should. Used the advice found on appliancepartspro.com and ordered a new Spark Module. They said that this is a known issue with my particular model. I am happy to say that everything went as smooth as silk and had watched the instructional video a couple of times while my part was on the way. The new Spark Module is a genuine OEM Whirlpool part that was a direct fit with no modifications needed. The hardest part of this repair was a) realizing that the easiest way to clean the oven door pieces is to remove the whole door and b) figuring out how to put the oven door back on. Doing (b) is infinitely easier if you stick two allen wrenches into the holes in the door hinge, but these holes ONLY appear when the door is fully open. Ordered new screws and door gasket. Replaced the old door gasket now the oven warms up faster and bakes the stuff easier. Replaced the missing door trim screws. Now the door close without making noises. Read more
