Replaces the worn or cracked hinge bushing at the bottom of your refrigerator door. Installs on the lower hinge pin for smooth door movement and alignment.
Replaced upper and lower thimble's, lever arm, cam closure. Door stop was not the problem, but ordered it and replaced it too. The door of course has to come off, remove the top hinge, and lift it away. Lubricated moving parts with silicone spray. Be sure and put the door back in the open position, so the lever arm and cam closure can properly interact, then close the door. Remove the plastic grate at the bottom to get at the lever arm. Presto. Problem gone. Don't put excessive weight... Read more

Checked both door gaskets and tried to heat them back into shape but it did not work so I ordered the gasket replacements. they arrived two days later one was right the freezer door came in the wrong color but I used it anyways. It had a small tear in it which I repaired using super glue. Laid both gaskets out in the garage as they were warped pretty good. After 48 hours I peeled off the old gasket and cleaned the ridges out real good and let dry. Tackled the freezer door first starting at the... Read more

Mounts on the refrigerator hinge to limit door swing and prevent damage. Replace if the stop is broken, cracked, or the tab has sheared off.
There's what needed to be done and there was what was done. Either way it starts with the door stop bracket shearing off and needing to be replaced. Actual work wise. 1) Remove the shelves 2) Remove the 5/16th hex heads at the top 3) Lift the door up and lay it down 4) torx to get the bracket off and the new one on 5) Reverse process Time it should have taken: 30 minutes What actually happened: Watched the video for the wrong model. Replaces cracked or broken crisper drawer cover shelf in your refrigerator. Forms flat surface above produce drawers and supports bins for smooth sliding.
Used the schematic provided to select the parts needing replacement and placed the order. Parts arrived and swapping new for old was simple. For the most part it was a matter of taking out the old and putting in the new. There were a few screws with wheels to replace but that was easy as well. Before purchase I searched several different sites and found all the parts needed. I compared prices of each item as well as shipping cost. Prices for each item were nearly identical between sites... Refrigerator not cooling or compressor clicking on and off? This compressor kit restores cooling. Requires certified technician with specialty tools.
Ice won't dispense or drive spins freely? This auger drive coupler connects the motor to the ice bucket. Moderately difficult repair with basic tools.
The auger in ice bucket was frozen and locked in place (some how liquid water must have spilled inside and froze the shaft and bushing). When the motor was activated to deliver ice, the jam caused the motor shaft to strip the threads. With the threads stripped, there is no way (that I could find) to get the drive auger off of the shaft (btw, it is left-hand threaded). Apparently the Drive Auger is made of stainless steel - a harder metal then the motor shaft. To repair it, I removed the... Read more
Plastic water line that runs from the water valve to the icemaker fill tube. Replace if cracked, brittle, broken, or leaking at connection points.
Thanks to the AppliancePartsPro, I ordered it online and received it quickly. I even used the step by step directions on how to replace the tube from the AppliancePartsPro website. Just be very careful and review the instructions first. Couple of important things: 1. Take a picture of the existing wiring and tubes before you take them apart. 2. *if* you remove the wires ( red and white plugs) from the valve, make sure you plug them back in correctly. 3. Do not pull or push the tubes hard. Use... Read more

Replace cracked or broken ice bucket guide slides in your refrigerator freezer. Mounts to freezer wall to support and guide the ice bucket assembly.
Ordered right hand bucket glide and complete ice bucket assembly (cost more than just the cover, but did so in case other ice bucket assembly parts were worn out). Replacing bucket glide was done relatively easily by first turning off the icemaker, removing the old ice bucket assembly from the glides, removing all screws on the right hand glide, and loosening the screws on the left hand glide. This allowed the drive motor assembly (which fits in slots at the back of each glide) to move enough... Read more
