This replacement part is an upper rack slide, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This upper rack slide is an important part of many appliances. This particular one is typically found in dishwashers and helps guide the upper rack in and out. This allows the user to have easy access to the rack in order to place and remove dishes before and after the cleaning process. A new upper slide rack might be needed if the current ones are broken or damaged in any way. It is possible that these slides become stripped over many years of use and need to be replaced. If the upper rack is tilted or not sturdy while being slid back inside the main tub, the upper rack slide might be the problem. Be sure the dishwasher is completely empty prior to replacing this part. This is a genuine OEM part and is sourced directly from the manufacturer. This upper arm rack slide is sold individually.
Dishwasher needed new wheel that mounted to upper rack. There are 4 total that make the rack roll in and out. Replaced both side rails and rail caps (4- only 50 cents each) along with new upper rack that came with wheels installed. One side rail was bent so decided to spend a little extra and replace both. Might of been able to replace just one broken rack wheel but rack was old and was rusting in some areas so decided to just replace it. Read more

Filter replacement is easy. CAUTION. When removing the wand that is immediately above this filter you must reach around the back base and feel for a tab sticking out. Pull on it and lift the wand up. If not you may break the tab off which is a retainer needed for the center wand that supplies water to the upper rack. This would have been a 15 minute job but I broke the tab off I mentioned earlier. I ended up adding a stainless steel screw through the base just above a flange that rises when the... Read more

I ordered both the front long panel and the lower access panel in the new color. I watched the instructional videos which were very helpful.
