Since my Ge Profile Gas Stove has non adjustable air & gas mixture valve, my options were limited to couple of other components. I took on online suggestions and replaced the Orifice at the burner with no luck, I also replaced Pressure Regulator with the same result, thinking the last thing that I could possible do myself was trying a new burrner head before calling service man, so I made a contact with AppliancePartsPros.com and check the price of the part and figuring I could risk around... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Convection oven screeching noise when warming up   Michael H. • Newtown , PA • October 13, 2019

The oven was so loud, it was hard to talk to someone in the kitchen. We replaced the motor and the fan blade. 1. Turn off power to the oven. 2. Remove the oven doors 3. Remove the cover for the fan. 4. Turn the fan blade nut clockwise to loosen( it's opposite of normal) - Save the nut and the small clip that is behind the fan as you'll need them again. 5. Remove the screws that hold oven to the kitchen cabinet frame. 6. Slide oven out of kitchen cabinet and place on the floor - it takes 2... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Control board f0 error   Doug K. • Warrenton , NC • February 26, 2015

The documentation that Appliance Parts Pro shipped with the part described a procedure to reset the control board. When I did this, the control worked and I did not need the part. I have to admit that I feel a little guilty about having to return the part but I must say that I am really, really impressed with Appliance Parts Pro and the service provided. These people are really great and they will be my first stop for all appliance parts need in the future! Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Wife broke the glass cook top   John W. • Atlanta , GA • March 24, 2017

Ordered new glass cook top for GE profile 36" range top. Broke two screws off removing one of the burners. Tried drilling broken 6-32 screws out of cast aluminum gas manifold and broke the tap off inside it so I had to order a new $28 manifold. Total cost with $303 for the glass was $331 Replacement range would have been over $1200. I also replaced all (10) 6-32x1" torx screws with stainless steel versions from McMaster-Carr and installed with Permatex anti seize in case I ever had to open it... Read more
