Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven would not heat and oven light wouldn't work   Garett N. • Lubbock , TX • May 06, 2016

Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. I then turned off the breaker to the unit. I then decided to take out the baking element to do a continuity test. When I touched it, a 1.5 inch section fell out. Since that concluded my continuity test, I assumed I needed a baking element. After receiving the parts the NEXT DAY (amazingly great service... Read more

Screw 10 - 16 Pl Pnt 2.5 S
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB01T10018

The 10-16 Pl Pnt 2.5 S Screw is an OEM replacement part for GE ranges.

Symptoms of bad oven door screws include:

  • Loosened or detached door assemblies that will not seal properly
  • Misaligned controls or glass panels suffering fitment issues

Figured out how to take oven apart then removed all the old insulation. Throughly cleaned every thing and black taped the wire where the mice chewed on it. I ordered this insulation and didn't use the oven until it came in. Once I received it I took the oven back apart and placed the insulation in place. Every thing was precut to size. Super easy to install! Then put everything back together. Oven is good as new. Read more

I had to replace the control board. First I chatted with a wonderful lady named Cierra, that helped me get the correct part that I needed, as I was getting ready to order to wrong part. I had looked up to find out why my oven would not heat and found that the answer was saying the back coil was bad.
