This kit includes all the necessary components to repair or replace the ice door chute, which is responsible for dispensing ice from the ice maker to the ice bucket or directly to the user. The ice door chute must seal properly to prevent warm air from entering the freezer compartment, which can lead to frost and ice buildup.

Symptoms of a failing or broken ice door chute include:

Ice accumulating around the ice dispenser chute
Frost buildup in the freezer compartment
Warm air leaking into the freezer, causing temperature fluctuations

I used the Broken Tab Ice Door Kit and the repair was perfect! The ice dispenser works better now than before the door broke. Buy the repair kit, follow the instructions, and here's a few notes from my experience: 1. I initially only removed the broken/fragmented parts of the ice door tab hinges.
