Unscrewed front control panel on oven, lifted it and pulled it out from the wiring/control area without disconnecting anything. Disconnected the Halogen Lamp Assembly. Measured 120V at the mating supply connector. Deduced the Halogen Lamp Assembly was therefore bad since it was getting power but wasn't lighting a lamp. Unscrewed the Halogen Lamp Assembly inside the oven and pulled it down a little. Fed the connector of the Halogen Lamp Assembly back into the oven compartment being careful... Read more
I replaced the cooling fan for the lower oven. This fan is located in the space between the top and bottom ovens. I also chose to replace both the BAKE and TCO thermostats. Read more
The oven was so loud, it was hard to talk to someone in the kitchen. We replaced the motor and the fan blade. 1. Turn off power to the oven. 2. Remove the oven doors 3. Remove the cover for the fan. 4. Turn the fan blade nut clockwise to loosen( it's opposite of normal) - Save the nut and the small clip that is behind the fan as you'll need them again. 5. I have a GE JS998S0K3SS slide-in range with Trivection oven. The display stopped working and oven controls were nonresponsive. Electric cooktop was still working. In my case the problem is the Main Power Board, part number WB27T10551, You do not have to pull the range out to replace this. To fix: Turn off the breaker Remove the cooktop control knobs. All of the information on the web repair sites said "replace the hinges as the springs are worn out." Didn't fix the problem. The top of the door still wouldn't seal, and the. Leaning latch wouldn't catch the door unless you pressed on the door. The inside panel of the door was fatigued. Too many turkeys were set on the door over the years.
