Fix dishwasher not heating or melted terminals with this heater terminal nut. Secures the heating element wire connection to prevent arcing and leaks.
Replaced the heating element as shown in the video. Repaired a bad connector on the wire leading to the heating element. The clean light still flashed 3 times. Determined that the thermal fuse also needed to be replaced. Replaced the thermal fuse as shown in the video. The clean light now flashed 7 times which I discovered meant that the control panel needed to be reset. I then reset the control panel by pressing the buttons: normal, heated dry, normal, heated dry. With the basket out of the dishwasher, the plastic parts basically snap on and off... popped the broken parts off and the new parts on. The 2 wheel and mount assemblies were a little more complicated. The video on the website advises to disconnect the supply line and drain line... I didn't have to do this. Dishwasher stops mid-cycle or won't start? The control board regulates wash and dry cycles. A failed board causes no power or incomplete cycles.
I did a little research on the internet. I check to make sure it was getting power with Ohm meter. I took the front panel off to see what I could find. I found 2 dead roaches in the control board box and there was some brown stuff on the control board. I checked the price to replace the part online and local.
