Ordered 2 infinite burner controls from Appliance Parts Pros and watched the online video on the replacement of them at the same time. When they arrived promptly, I was ready to take on the job. The fix only took about 15 minutes because I was prepared after watching the video. Read more

Kitchen Aid dishwasher is 11 years old, and the tines have been rusting and biting the dust one by over the last few years. Rather than further destroy my dishes by abrading them with rust particles, I decided to get new racks. They are terribly expensive, and I pondered getting a new dishwasher. It wouldn't be that much more expensive. But I love mine and how well it washes. It has a stainless interior, and all of the seals are in excellent shape. I didn't need any tools. (Although I'm a... Replaces the front user interface touch pad on your dishwasher. Needed when buttons are unresponsive, panel is cracked, or touch controls are worn or damaged.
We replaced the thermal fuse as recommended by Appliance Parts Pros as 59% the problem and since it was only a $20 part we decided it was worth changing. We also replaced the touch pad /control panel for $160 (not the entire control component). We also discovered once the dishwasher was apart that the door latch was broken. I had not ordered a new door latch so we able to use Gorilla Glue to repair the door latch. After these repairs the dishwasher is working again but we are not sure which of... Read more

Replaces a cracked, worn, or unresponsive dishwasher control panel. Restores the interface for selecting cycles and options with smooth button action.
I turned off power and unplugged the touch panel ribbon cable. After restoring power and closing the dishwasher, it started running a drain cycle--this suggested the issue was the touch panel. Replacing the panel was pretty simple. Remove 6 screws (need a torx) bit, unplug the ribbon cable, take off the control board and the handle, and then reattach the new touch panel. At first, some of the buttons on the new touch panel didn't seem to work, but after running one cycle, everything is fine and... Read more
Fix a dishwasher motor that hums or won't start. This run capacitor provides the phase shift needed for smooth motor operation. DIY repair in 30-45 min.
Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area. Read more
