Ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros - super fast shipping, and even though I opted for regular shipping all of my parts arrived the very next day, including the big and bulky inner basket. I removed the lower door panel and kickplate (4 screws) to access the door springs. Replaced the door springs by hand. The nylon guides, through which the door guides travel, were easy to replace. I removed the broken ones and snapped in the new ones. I recommend a drop of epoxy on the upper portion of each guide to keep it from shifting. The impact on the door apparently distorted the frame slightly so the door drops slightly below level when fully opened and the lower rack movement is impeded... Read more
Replaced seal around tub which matches up to the door. Note: Once you receive the replacement seal/gasket you will be able to see how the gasket is attached to the tub. I used a firm flat blade scraping putty knife to depress the clips....once you receive the gasket you'll understand what I'm referring to. Read more
This is a dishrack only it no longer includes the rollers and or axles. Color: light gray. Measures about 21 inches wide by 4 inches high by 22 inches deep. For axles order 4162321, for rollers order WP4162322, order 8 of each for complete set.
I ordered a new rack. I carefully detached the old wheels, hubs and splash guards. I cracked one hub but it reinstalled ok. I cleaned the old parts and installed them on the new rack. Presto, chango new complete rack! Read more
Electronic control assembly.
The part arrived earlier than stated. I rounded up the tools I needed - had to buy a star screwdriver to remove the panel. I watched a youtube tutorial on line before hand - very helpful. I followed the instructions step by step and had no problem removing and replacing the part. I am a 60 year old woman and I only mention that because normally I would have just called a repairman but I thought what the heck - I'll give it a try. this was very easy to do and saved me a repairman's charge. watch... With the telephone help from one of the pros we selected a part that was as close to the original part as possible. The dishwasher is some 25 years old and the original part has been long discontinued but with the help of your "pro" the part we installed has fitted with out a hitch and working nicely. Pulled dishwasher from under counter, disconnecting water supply pipe for access. Removed vent and fouled gasket and cleaned pieces with CLR. Reinstalled gasket, reconnected water supply and repositioned dishwasher under counter. Not particularly easy for DIYer but can be done. As a side note, I ordered 2 gaskets for the first repair so one was readily available. When the subsequent repair was finished, I order 2 more, due to low price, for backup. Read more
