Seals the agitator shaft opening to prevent leaks and protect internal components. Replace if you see water leaking from the center post during wash cycles.
Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more

Replace a worn or broken rear self-leveling leg to restore stability. This foot supports the back of your washer and automatically adjusts to uneven floors.
I followed the Appliance Parts Pro's advice videos for the Maytag MAV6451AWW Atlantis washer on replacing the snubber ring and the suspension springs. Everything went just fine except replacing the two rear most suspension springs. None of the videos illustrated REINSTALLING the REAR springs which is extremely difficult because you can't get enough leverage with your arm extended. Observing my frustration, my wife recommended taking off the back side. You can't simply take off the back,... Read more

Cushions contact between washer lid and top panel. Replace if cracked, missing, or worn to prevent slamming noise and protect the finish from damage.
Called a Maytag repair man, said "the bumpers are no longer available". These little things are actually critical to operation, because the lid safety switch needs to be pressed back far enough to sense that the lid is closed, and without the bumpers, this is a little iffy. I looked up the parts on the internet, came across AppliancePartsPros.com and guess what, the parts were available !! Ordered, delivered on time, installed, and I'm up and running. Now I don't have to hear my wife... Read more
Leaking water at the tub ring during fill? This lower water injector channels incoming water into the tub. Simple 30-minute DIY repair with basic tools.
An easy fix for the most part. I had no idea what I was doing, but glad I bought both upper and lower injectors. Not sure why these are separate parts? Cheap plastic. I did not get the hose clamp because I didn't think I would need it. You probably do, so go ahead and just order it or grab one if you have one laying around. Mine is hooked up without it for now which I'm sure I will regret later but I needed to get our washer running immediately due to a bed bug situation in our house. Read more
