First replaced water/ice maker solenoid switches at bottom of refrigerator with no improvement. Then replaced filter head and the base that was broken. That fixed the problem as the filter head had started leaking when cap/filter was removed. Ice Door Kit, Control Bracket, and Ice Dispenser Guide were purchased. I followed two videos on replacing the parts. The Control Bracket WP2180226 / AP6005965, was straight forward and I discovered a snapped pin on the old bracket causing an electric switch to be out of place... that repair was easy. I used the Broken Tab Ice Door Kit and the repair was perfect! The ice dispenser works better now than before the door broke. Buy the repair kit, follow the instructions, and here's a few notes from my experience: 1. I initially only removed the broken/fragmented parts of the ice door tab hinges. The metal adapter fits around the existing hinges. 2. I did a few (3 to 4) test fits of the adapter using the hinge pin and door to check for proper alignment. I ended up shaving off a bit of... I determined my thermostat was defective, ordered the thermostat which arrived in two days and I replaced the thermostat and I now have a full bin of ice !!! I called and talked to a customer service rep and she helped me troubleshoot the problem and order the correct part. She also sent me the pdf of the repair manual and I followed its instructions to replace the drain solenoid. It was a fairly easy repair. The bucket was an easy fix. There is a film on the website showing exactly how to replace it. The ice crusher was a bit of a problem because it had to be completely taken apart -- many small parts to put back in order!!
